Acting as an expert witness in planning inquiries and nuisance cases.
What is an "expert witness"?
An expert witness is a specialist that is asked to provide expert knowledge and opinion in a court of law, a tribunal or an inquiry. The primary role of the expert witness is to ensure the information provided is truthful and impartial. To do this effectively requires that the expert is fully independent, well-practiced, competent and strongly knowledgeable in all aspects of the subject matter.
Our experience
MAS consultants have experience providing evidence for court and standing as an expert witness in many cases of statutory nuisance at various levels of the judicial process including the court of appeal and the high court.
Most of our consultants have also been involved in planning inquiries or hearings involving providing statements and other evidence, presenting this evidence to the planning inspector and being cross-examined.
Remaining impartial and independent is of serious importance to us at MAS Environmental Ltd. Our consultants fully understand the duties and responsibilities of being an expert witness and have gained a reputation for carrying out thorough work, providing effective evidence, being well-prepared and not compromising integrity or giving false or misleading information.
