Advice on Right to Light cases
We offer advice and guidance on site layout planning to protect the natural light either inside of buildings or in open spaces between them such as gardens or other amenity areas. This includes assessments through modelling the affect of new developments on existing ones, analysing the obstruction caused by buildings, fences and trees/hedges.
This includes the effect on:
- Direct sunlight
- General daylight
- Privacy and security
Our work takes into account all relevant case law and existing guidance, such as the British Standard Code of practice for daylighting BS 8206-2.
